New Recruitments

The three academic partners of the project will each recruite an experienced researcher from 24 months onwards. Indicative profiles of the researchers who will be recruited are given below. The announcment of the positions will be in 2014.

University of Thessaly will recruit an experienced researcher with <10 years experience in molecular microbial ecology. The researcher is expected have good knowledge of –omic techniques and high-throughput sequencing analysis methods. The fellow will be recruited for 16 months and his/her main task will be to set up, standardize and apply metagenomic protocols in the study of the metagenome of a soil exhibiting enhanced biodegradation of insecticides or fungicides.

University of Patras will recruit a researcher with <10 years experience in molecular microbial ecology. He/she is expected to have a good knowledge of advanced microbial tools currently used in molecular microbial ecology. Experience in the microarray analysis will be an advantage. The fellow will be recruited for 16 months and his/her main task will be the development of the pesticideCHIP prototype.

INRA will recruit a researcher < 10 years experience with expertise in the use of –omic technologies in soil microbial ecology. The fellow will be recruited for 16 months and his/her main task will be to implement protocols for analysis of the metagenome of a soil exhibiting enhanced biodegradation of herbicides. Good bioinformatics skills are essential in order to be able to handle and analyze the vast amount of data produced by the application of high resolution molecular methods.
