Aeiforia srl, Spin-off company of
Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Piacenza, Italy
Aeiforia srl is a university Spin-Off of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Piacenza, was founded in 2009 and acts as a permanent platform for the valorization of results coming from the chemical-agrochemical, agronomic, environmental and ecotoxicological research.
Aeiforia provides services to the agricultural and food companies, to industries and companies that produce, sell and commercialize chemical substances and technologies in the agrochemical, food and domestic sector, and industrial, pharmaceutical sector, about the following topics:
• Monitoring of the quality of productive processes;
• Environmental monitoring pre and post authorization;
• Field leaching, soil dissipation and OPEX studies;
• Implementation of activities for the management and responsible use of chemical substances;
• Development of protocols for their sustainable use;
• Evaluation of life-cycle of chemical substances;
• Communication activities towards operators and consumers and risk communication;
• Evaluation and characterization of risk for the environment and the living organisms;
Research Group of Aeiforia
The research group of Aeiforia which participates in LOVE-TO-HATE project consists of Prof. Marco Trevisan, Dr Federico Ferrari.
The group carries out research intoRisk assessment and environmental protection: measurements of residues of xenobiotics in the environmental compartments (air, soil, surface and ground waters), laboratory studies on volatilization, mobility and persistence of xenobiotics in the soil-plant system, field trials on dissipation, leaching and runoff studies, modeling of the behaviour of xenobiotics at field, catchment and regional scales, risk assessment and risk mitigation of pesticides and other xenobiotics, development of environmental indicators, surface and groundwater quality assessment and implementation of vulnerability maps, remediation techniques (microbial, phytoremediation), studies on biomasses and sludge applications.
Prof. Marco Trevisan, full professor in Agricultural Chemistry
|
Marco Trevisan, is professor since 1998 at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and he is president of Aeiforia srl. He has studied since 1983 the environmental fate of pesticide and the behaviour of pesticide residues on crop and food. He is expert in the field of pesticide environmental fate, analytical determination and consumer health. Marco Trevisan was involved and he still is involved in several European project in these field. In 2005 Trevisan was appointed as member of the Review Panel for assessing the Strategic Plan Proposals of CSIC Centers/Institutes in Spain. He has joined FOCUS (Forum for the Co-ordination of pesticide fate models and their Use). Since 2001 is vice-chairman of COST629 action. He is author in 100 papers on International Journals |
